Another boarding school, sports and adventure story from the prolific Ralph Henry Barbour. This time, we meet 14-year-old John ("Cal") Boland, room-mate Ned Brent and the other six boys residing in West House (Sandy, Dutch, Hoop, Spud, Clara and The Fungus), and attending the Oak Park School, a preparatory school for boys. There appears to be a thief in West House; see how his/her identity is revealed. A mix of study, football, hijinks and other adventures occur, in typical Barbour style. Author Bio for Barbour, Ralph Henry

Ralph Henry Barbour (November 13, 1870 – February 19, 1944) was an American novelist, who primarily wrote popular works of sports fiction for boys. In collaboration with L. H. Bickford, he also wrote as Richard Stillman Powell, notably Phyllis in Bohemia. Other works included light romances and adventure.

During his career, Barbour produced more than 100 novels as well as a number of short stories.--Wikipedia.
