The fourth (and last) volume of the Ferry Hill adventure series finds Ferry Hill students Tom Eaton, Dick Somes and Roy Porter spending another summer vacation together, this time cruising the Hudson River in a house-boat. Once again, Harriet (Harry) is invited to join the boys, chaperoned by her father, Dr. Emery, Principal of Ferry Hill School.
A number of adventures occur during the trip, including false accusations of burglary, an actual burglary, and encounters with a band of gypsies, all in typical Barbour style. [Suggest a different description.]
