Author Bio for Fowler, Gene
Gene Fowler (born Eugene Devlan) (1890-1960) was an American journalist, author, and dramatist. When his mother remarried during his youth, he took his stepfather's name to become Gene Fowler. His work in newpapers included time at the Denver Post and several New York papers. He began writing novels, and this led to him working in Hollywood, and eventually becoming close friends of several well-know actors.
