Author Bio for Gide, André
Aux années 1930, Gide, comme plusieurs de ces contemporains, est antifasciste et, en revanche, attiré par le communisme. En 1936, à l’âge de soixante-six ans, il fait le voyage à l’URSS pour voir la révolution de près avec cinq de ses amis. En novembre de cette même année parut Le retour à l’URSS, qui raconte leur déception croissante avec le communisme et un système staliniste où « il ne restera plus que des bourreaux, des profiteurs et des victimes. »
