| Description: | To her family, beautiful Bionde Lacasse, of Acadia, was a marionette, to do their bidding, to marry herself to the highest bidder, and recoup the family fortunes. When she met De Varin she knew that the puppet had the warm heart of a woman, and that heart was his. But De Varin was a poor artist and the stern Lacasses tore Bionde from him.
There seemed no escape from that parental will until the flashing steel of Bionde's miraculous ice skates brought her to the attention of the world--and of Hollywood. Happiness was within her grasp now, but then a strange mood seemed to come over De Varin, and he turned from her in coldness.
The girl went to Hollywood, and the world that saw her on the screen never knew that the glorious beauty of her skating concealed a broken heart. At last, in a moment of supreme drama, Bionde learned the meaning of De Varin's strange actions, and there was happiness in two hearts once more.—Introduction [Suggest a different description.] |
