William Wilfred Campbell (1861-1918) was a Canadian poet. Born in Ontario, he trained as an Anglican priest and was ordained in 1888. He served in New Brunswick for three years but did not find the life to his taste. He left the priesthood and became a civil servant in Ottawa. In 1889 he started writing poetry and produced several books of poetry over the course of his lifetime. He also wrote some fiction and non-fiction but his reputation rests mainly with his poetry.
