Author Bio for Cross, John Keir
John Keir Cross (1914-1967) was born in Scotland. A prolific writer of scripts for BBC radio and television programs, Keir Cross also published a number of science fiction and fantasy novels for young readers, either under his own name or the pseudonym Stephen MacFarlane. The Other Passenger (1944), a collection of macabre tales for adults, remains his best known work, though his contributions to the horror genre also include several influential anthologies, Best Horror Stories (1956), Best Black Magic Stories (1960), and Best Horror Stories 2 (1965).—Valancourt Books
