Author Bio for Fremantle, Alan Frederick
Alan Frederick (A. F.) Fremantle (1877-1953) was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Edmund Robert Fremantle and Barberina Rogers Isaacs. He married Ethel May Harland, daughter of Reverend Albert Augustus Harland, on 24 April 1909. He died on 20 March 1953 at age 75, without issue.
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He graduated from Magdalen College School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He was with the Indian Civil Service. He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant between 1915 and 1918 in the Indian Army.
