Author Bio for Cleugh, Sophia

Sophia Cleugh (née Sophia Olivia Sadler) (1876-1958) was an author in the early 20th century who wrote 16 known novels, some of which were published under the pseudonym George Oleson. Cleugh, who was married to English actor Dennis Cleugh, lived in the United States for many years, where she worked as a screenwriter for Universal Pictures. Her works include Matilda, Governess of the English (1924) and Wind Which Moved a Ship (1936).—MacDowell
