| Description: | The second volume is concerned with a very short period of time. It might be said that the whole political action is concentrated in a single month. In this brief and fiery interlude the most acute differences arose between men who had one common object in view—the winning of the war. The time has now come when the full story may be told of the sharpest collision of all—that between Mr. Lloyd George and Mr. Asquith.—Introduction. [Suggest a different description.] |
