Description:

The night scream of a mountain lion would rip across his lonely cabin and Brad Rutledge would wake instantly, gun gripped in his fist. Other times it was the eerie howl of a wolf prowling the range, or snow sliding against the window, sounding like men whispering outside. Day or night, the lurking sense of danger strung his nerves tight and raw. An old feud was about to explode in a bloody massacre. And he was marked for death. . . .—Back cover [Suggest a different description.]
