Author Bio for Hood, Robert Allison
Robert Allison Hood (1880-1958) was born in Scotland and spent his youth in California, where he completed his education at the University of California at Berkeley. In 1906 he came to Vancouver and began his career in finance and real estate. In addition to writing poems, articles, and plays, Hood published several books, including The Chivalry of Keith Leicester: A romance of British Columbia (1918), The Quest of Alistair (1921), The Case of Kinnear (1942), and Ballads of the Pacific Northwest (1946). He was a member of the Canadian Authors' Association from its inception in 1921, and chairman of the Vancouver branch for a period.
