Author Bio for Hémon, Louis
Louis Hémon (1880-1913) was a French writer. He came to Canada in 1911 and wrote Maria Chapdelaine. Unfortunately he was killed in a train accident in 1913 so was not able to see how popular his novel would become.
Louis Hémon (1880-1913) était un écrivain français. Il est venu au Canada en 1911 et a écrit Maria Chapdelaine. Malheureusement, il a perdu la vie dans un accident de chemin de fer en 1913 et n'a jamais connu l'immense popularité de son roman.
