Description:

Two gods are blindfold in mythology--Love and Justice. Miss Allingham shows the strange logic which links the two sightless deities. This razor-swift story deals movingly with the problem of a woman who hid her eyes against a sinister but inevitable truth. It begins with murder on a rainy night in a cul-de-sac off London theatreland. Who were the strange couple in the country bus, certain witnesses of the crime? Miss Allingham's Superintendent Luke, and of course Mr. Campion, find links between this and other killings, and a trail which leads to a Museum of oddities and a blood-chilling dump in the East End.--intro.
