Author Bio for Regan, John William

John William Regan (1873-1945) was a Canadian journalist and historian. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, he became a journalist and worked for the Halifax branch of the Associated Press. He was an authority on the history of Halifax and wrote Sketches and Traditions of the North West Arm (a neighbourhood of Halifax). He also wrote First Things in Acadia, "The Birthplace of a Continent". Both of these books are available on Faded Page. (Macmillan Dictionary of Canadian Biography)
