Times of peace find Biggles still active in the air—as Air Detective-Inspector Bigglesworth of Scotland Yard’s Air Section. Baffling mysteries and strange missions come Biggles’ way, in which he is helped by Algy, Bertie and Ginger, his true and tried comrades of earlier days. In his role of air detective, Biggles gives his host of admirers a thoroughly satisfying measure of action, suspense and excitement.

With these very latest Biggles stories are included some of the very earliest adventures, when this famous character was a pilot in World War I. Captain W. E. Johns has written a foreword to these short stories, which are tense and gripping tales of the pioneer days of air-combat.—Goodreads.com. [Suggest a different description.]
