Author Bio for Armstrong, George Henry

George Henry Armstrong (1858-1938) was teacher and author. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he became a teacher in 1890. In 1912 he became an Inspector of Public Schools. When he died, he bequeathed his estate, amounting to about $100,000 to the United Church of Canada for the purposes of setting up new churches in and around Toronto. (Toronto United Church Council)
