Author Bio for Cumberland, Barlow

Barlow Cumberland (1846-1913) was a Canadian businessman and historian. He worked in the Great Lakes shipping industry. He was Vice-president of the Niagara Navigation Company from 1878 to 1912. He was the author of "A Century of Sail and Steam on the Niagara River" as well as several other books on historical themes. In 1909 he served as president of the Ontario Historical Society.
